Rebecca Palmer, CEO
After working in the education and advertising field, I transitioned into the pharmaceutical sales
industry. I loved it! I was constantly learning new information, educating others and indirectly
helping patients. But mostly I was quenching my thirst in the sales arena. I learned that sales
and customer service were my passion. My next career transition before I started Palmer & Young,
Inc. placed me into recruiting in the pharmaceutical and biotech marketplace. Some of my accolades
included; two time President’s Club winner, promoted to management, offered a VP position, top
leader in new business generation, placed entry level sales to president level positions, and
mentored junior-level recruiters.
I chose to attend the Franklin Covey Coaching certification program in Salt Lake City, UT to enhance
my established foundation of coaching skills. It was during that transition period that I decided to
marry my two strengths of coaching and recruiting into Palmer & Young, Inc., a national
recruiting & coaching firm.
After working with literally thousands of candidates and clients, I realized that I wanted to take
the career coaching aspect to a new level; personal and corporate coaching was that evolution.
My philosophy in life is “Pay it forward.” There have been so many loving, selfless people in my
life that have helped shape who I am and where I explore. A special thanks to my loving family
unit, fun friends, terrific teachers, generous acquaintances
and even kind strangers. Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude!
I grew up in a small town on Lake Champlain, in the Adirondacks about 90 miles south of Montreal,
Canada and 9 miles directly across the lake from Burlington, VT. I am proud of my roots and credit a
lot of my core values to them.
I enjoy boating on Lake Champlain, kayaking and hiking in the Adirondacks, spending time with family and friends, cooking with organic home grown food our regional farmers provide in our Adirondack region, and helping educate people that "food is medicine" when you eat whole, organic foods.
